A lot of people ask about how I color and the colors I use and in all honesty- it’s really simple: I just color the base colors and put a layer set to”multiply” over it for the shadows. Afterwards, I fiddle around with opacity and hue settings to get the effect I want for the shadows. But whatever man, anyone can do this!
It is much more important, in my opinion, to have the right mindset while PICKING and PLACING your colors. Color however you want (cellshade, painting, etc), the effectiveness of a picture all comes down to the choices you have made in the art making process.
